SalamAir Introduces Direct Flight Between Muscat and Almaty

SalamAir, Oman’s fastest-growing value-for-money airline, has launched a direct flight connecting Muscat, the capital city of Oman, and Almaty, the largest city of Kazakhstan. The weekly flights will begin from July 1st, 2023, using the Airbus A320neo aircraft, which features 180 seats in an all-economy configuration.

The new route will offer more convenience and flexibility for travelers to and from Central Asia, as well as an opportunity to explore the cultural and natural attractions of both countries. Almaty is a modern and cosmopolitan city with a rich history and heritage, as well as a gateway to the majestic Tian Shan mountain range. Muscat is a vibrant and diverse city with a blend of ancient and contemporary architecture, as well as a coastline of stunning beaches.

The flight schedule for the Muscat-Almaty route is as follows:

  • OV273: Departs Muscat (MCT) at 23:00 on Thursdays, arrives in Almaty (ALA) at 05:00 on Fridays
  • OV274: Departs Almaty (ALA) at 06:00 on Fridays, arrives in Muscat (MCT) at 08:45 on Fridays
