Saudi Arabia now allows Lebanese travelers direct entry into the country
Saudi Arabia announced that it would now allow Lebanese citizens and travelers from Lebanon to enter the country directly without needing to spend 14 days in quarantine in a third country.
Waleed Bukhari, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Lebanon said in a Twitter post: “Lebanese citizens can fly directly to the Kingdom without spending 14-day quarantine outside Lebanon.”
Previously, travelers departing from Lebanon were required to undergo a 14-day quarantine outside of the country before entering Saudi Arabia if they were vaccinated outside of the Kingdom (Saudi Arabia) as part of COVID-19 restriction measures.
The announcement came as Saudi Arabia allowed entry of more than one million pilgrims into the Kingdom for the Hajj. The Hajj is a sacred pilgrimage to Mecca, which every adult Muslim must make at least once in their lifetime.
