Hilton Head Island continues to draw millions of travelers each year seeking sun, beaches, and the relaxed Lowcountry lifestyle. Visitors flying into the region have two main options: Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport and Hilton Head Island Airport, both offering an extensive range of nonstop flights to major U.S. cities.

Savannah/Hilton Head International has already welcomed 2.4 million passengers in 2025 and handled 4.1 million travelers in 2024. The airport connects to more than 30 destinations with airlines including Delta, Southwest, United, American, JetBlue, Allegiant, Breeze, Avelo, Frontier, and Spirit. Major routes include Atlanta, New York, Dallas, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Houston, Denver, Miami, and Washington, D.C., with additional service to regional cities such as Akron, Grand Rapids, and Providence. Many of these flights operate seasonally, and all Spirit Airlines services will be fully available by October 2025.

Hilton Head Island Airport provides a smaller but convenient gateway, particularly for those staying on the island itself. From January through June 2025, it served more than 115,000 passengers, up from 222,000 in all of 2024. The airport offers nonstop service to Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Newark, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, primarily on American, Delta, and United Airlines. Several of these routes run seasonally, though key flights to major hubs like Atlanta, Charlotte, New York, and Washington are available throughout the year.

Together, the two airports give travelers seamless access to Hilton Head and the surrounding region, making it easier than ever to plan a weekend getaway or an extended Lowcountry vacation.
