Scarlet Lady to Undergo Major Upgrades This Fall

Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady cruise ship is set for significant upgrades this fall, with dry dock scheduled from November 14-28, 2024. Enhancements will include new suites, restaurant concepts, and bar and lounge areas.

To meet growing demand, several Sea Terrace cabins on deck 11 will be converted into 24 “Seriously Suite” RockStar Quarters. These 352-square-foot accommodations will feature a European king bed, Peek-a-Boo shower, in-room records and vinyls, a stocked bar, and the brand’s signature Yellow Leaf hammock.

Nicole Huang, VP of Fleet Experience, stated, “We wanted to give our Sailors a taste of the rockstar life,” highlighting the high demand for the existing Massive Suite, often booked a year in advance.

Additionally, Razzle Dazzle will introduce “Lucky Lotus by Razzle Dazzle,” an evening concept featuring a Chinese-inspired menu and craft cocktails in an intimate setting. The Galley’s coffee bar, Ground Club Too, will transform into a full-service bar, offering elevated cocktails at night.

The Wake, a steak and seafood restaurant designed by Roman and Williams, will revamp its raw bar to feature a premium selection of wines. New VIP cabanas with luxe daybeds will also be added, overlooking the Aquatic Club, and can be reserved for individual use or connected for larger groups.

Upgrades will extend to the ship’s casino, which will add more slot machines, and the spa, which will introduce a couples treatment room in addition to the existing Thermal Suite.

“Since her much-anticipated debut in 2021, Scarlet Lady has welcomed hundreds of thousands of Sailors while delivering irresistible vacations,” Huang noted. “We’re listening and giving travelers more of what they’ve asked for.”

After renovations, Scarlet Lady will embark on a 16-night transatlantic voyage from Rome to Miami, followed by six- and eight-night Caribbean cruises.
