Seabourn, a leader in luxury cruising, has made a significant advancement in onboard connectivity by installing SpaceX’s Starlink internet across its entire fleet. This upgrade positions Seabourn among the forefront of cruise lines enhancing guest experiences through improved internet services.

Fleet-Wide Starlink Implementation: All Seabourn vessels are now equipped with Starlink’s advanced low Earth orbit satellite technology. This upgrade ensures that guests enjoy faster and more reliable Wi-Fi, a crucial aspect of the modern cruising experience, whether they are sailing through remote polar regions or the picturesque Mediterranean.

Positive Feedback Leads to Full Fleet Upgrade: The decision to equip the entire fleet followed the successful installation of Starlink infrastructure on Seabourn’s two expedition ships, Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit. The overwhelmingly positive response from guests on these ships led to the expansion of the service to Seabourn’s four ocean ships: Seabourn Sojourn, Seabourn Quest, Seabourn Encore, and Seabourn Ovation.

A Statement from Seabourn’s President: “Our guests can now choose to connect or disconnect as they wish during their extraordinary journeys with Seabourn,” said Natalya Leahy, Seabourn’s President. She highlighted the enhanced dependability of the connection, allowing guests to share their ‘Seabourn Moments’ and experiences seamlessly.

Special Promotion for Guests: Alongside this technological enhancement, Seabourn is enticing guests with its “The Sail of the Year” promotion. This offer, valid until February 29, includes savings of up to 25% on cruise fares and a reduced deposit of 15% for select ocean and expedition trips. Additionally, bookings made by January 31 can benefit from up to $1,000 in onboard credits per cabin.

Trend of Cruise Lines Adopting Starlink: Seabourn joins the growing list of cruise lines that have adopted Starlink for onboard internet services. Royal Caribbean and HX (formerly Hurtigruten Expeditions) initiated this trend in the fall of 2022, with several others including Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings’ brands, Holland America Line, Cunard, and Aurora Expeditions following suit.

Seabourn’s move to equip its entire fleet with Starlink internet underscores the cruise industry’s commitment to enhancing guest connectivity and overall experience. This upgrade ensures that Seabourn guests remain connected with the world, even as they embark on some of the most secluded and stunning journeys across the globe.
