Seabourn Launches 94-Day Pole to Pole Grand Expedition Cruise

Seabourn has unveiled its most ambitious voyage yet with the “Pole to Pole: Grand Expedition,” a 94-day cruise from the Arctic to Antarctica covering more than 20,500 nautical miles. The sailing departs August 17, 2027, aboard Seabourn Venture and concludes November 19, 2027, in Ushuaia, Argentina. Bookings are currently open to past guests, with reservations opening to the public on August 13.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime journey designed for travelers who dream of exploring the ends of the Earth in total comfort and luxury,” said Mark Tamis, president of Seabourn. “Guests will experience some of the most remote and awe-inspiring places while enjoying the hallmarks of Seabourn’s ultra-luxury service.”
The expedition begins with an overnight stay in Reykjavik, Iceland, followed by a charter flight to Kangerlussuaq, Greenland, where guests embark on Seabourn Venture. Highlights include six days navigating the Northwest Passage, a three-day exploration of Ellesmere Island in the Arctic Archipelago, five days in Antarctica, three in South Georgia, and three in the Falkland Islands. In total, the cruise visits 14 countries and territories, with 33 days at sea crossing the equator and both tropics.
Wildlife encounters will range from polar bears and whales to penguins, seals, and musk ox. Guests will enjoy Zodiac tours, guided hikes, enrichment lectures, and signature Seabourn experiences like the polar plunge and caviar on ice.
An 82-day version of the voyage is also available, departing August 29, 2027. Both options include premium amenities such as up to $10,000 per suite in onboard credits, round-trip business class air, upgraded Starlink WiFi, laundry, submarine and kayak excursions, and a commemorative expedition parka.
