Luxury and expedition cruise line Seabourn is set to elevate its onboard experiences with the debut of “Authors at Sea,” an innovative program that offers guests the unique opportunity to meet bestselling authors, historians, and biographers while participating in interactive workshops. Launching this year on select sailings, the program features an impressive roster of literary talents, including Debbie Macomber, Lady Sandra Howard, Lord Jeffrey Archer, Robert K. William, Ann Cleeves, and Zelda La Grange.

The “Authors at Sea” experience promises enriching and intimate sessions that go beyond traditional onboard entertainment. Guests aboard Seabourn’s sailings can expect to engage in thought-provoking discussions, creative writing workshops, and personal storytelling sessions that highlight each author’s journey and craft.

One of the program’s highlights will be on the April 27 sailing of the 20-Day Pacific Passage: Golden Week to Glacier Bay itinerary, which departs from Yokohama and sails to Vancouver. On this voyage, passengers will have the chance to meet acclaimed author Debbie Macomber, participate in her writing workshop, and learn about her storied career in crafting heartwarming narratives.

Another standout offering is scheduled for the May 10 sailing of the 8-Day Western Mediterranean Mosaic itinerary, departing from Lisbon and arriving in Civitavecchia. Here, guests will be treated to an onboard session with former model, novelist, and freelance journalist Lady Sandra Howard, who will discuss her work and share insights into the art of storytelling.

For literary enthusiasts seeking an engaging and dynamic session, the July 1 sailing of the 10-Day Spain & Moroccan Gems itinerary, roundtrip from Barcelona, will feature Lord Jeffrey Archer. Known as the only author to top bestseller lists in fiction, short stories, and non-fiction categories, Archer’s session is expected to be a major draw for fans of his work.

Additionally, former FBI Special Agent and author Robert K. William will offer his expertise on three different itineraries: the May 17 sailing of the 14-Day Iberian Coast & Bordeaux itinerary, the August 30 sailing of the 10-Day Tyrrhenian Treasures & Malta itinerary, and the April 24 departure of the 22-Day World Cruise: Golden Week to Glacier Bay itinerary. His sessions promise to blend intriguing insights from his law enforcement career with engaging storytelling.

Mystery and crime fiction fans are in for a treat as well. Ann Cleeves, celebrated for her gripping crime novels, will host crime-writing workshops on two sailings: the December 20 departure of the 15-Day Australia & New Zealand Holiday itinerary and the May 20, 2026 sailing of the 7-Day Scotland & Iceland’s North Coast itinerary.

Rounding out the lineup, international motivational speaker Zelda La Grange is set to lead a unique Authors at Sea session aboard the April 27, 2026 departure of the 14-Day Atlantic Crossing itinerary, promising an inspirational experience for all who attend.

“Onboard entertainment and enrichment are so important to the Seabourn experience, and our ‘Authors at Sea’ program brings together celebrated writers to connect with guests in a meaningful way through engaging conversations and interactive sessions,” said Handre Potgieter, Seabourn’s Director of Entertainment and Enrichment. “We are dedicated to creating extraordinary experiences and memorable moments at sea, and this new program was designed to further inspire and enrich our guests when they sail on Seabourn.”

With “Authors at Sea,” Seabourn is reinforcing its commitment to offering not only luxurious travel but also unique cultural experiences that transform every voyage into a journey of discovery and inspiration. Whether you’re a devoted reader or simply looking to add an enriching twist to your cruise, Seabourn’s new program promises an unforgettable blend of luxury, literature, and lifestyle at sea.
