SERE Holdings Acquires Woodgate Aviation to Form New Group

SERE Holdings, the parent company of Northern Ireland-based air ambulance and executive jet charter operator 247 Aviation (EMC, Belfast City), has acquired Woodgate Aviation, another regional charter and air ambulance provider. The acquisition marks the creation of the new SERE Aviation Group, which will include 247 Aviation, Woodgate Aviation, and Jet Assist.

According to SERE Holdings, the deal includes Woodgate Aviation’s Northern Ireland fixed-wing patient transfer contract and aims to consolidate operations under a single non-scheduled aviation group — one of the UK’s largest special mission fleets.

Woodgate Aviation holds a UK Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) and operates two Beechcraft King Air B200 aircraft for executive charter and medical flights, along with two Piper PA-31s used for Ordnance Survey aerial mapping.

The acquisition also covers Woodgate’s fixed-base operation (FBO), hangar, and maintenance facilities at Belfast International Airport, which will integrate into SERE Aviation Group’s existing FBO network at Belfast International and Belfast City, managed by subsidiary Jet Assist.

Earlier this year, 247 Aviation expanded its operations with the addition of two Learjet 45XR aircraft and a new base in southern England, following a GBP 7.98 million (USD 10.5 million) investment from SERE Holdings. One of the Learjets has already entered service, while the other remains parked at London Biggin Hill. The carrier’s AOC also includes four Pilatus PC-12s, a PC-24, and two Diamond DA62s, several of which are operated on behalf of Silver Aviation.
