Silversea Launches Direct Charter Flights to Galápagos Cruises

Silversea Cruises has introduced new direct charter flights to the Galápagos Islands for guests sailing aboard the Silver Origin, enhancing convenience and reducing travel time. As of July 5, travelers flying from Quito, Ecuador’s capital, will no longer need to stop in Guayaquil en route to San Cristóbal Island.
The new flights streamline the journey by eliminating a two-hour detour and include premium amenities such as private check-in, upgraded in-flight meals, blocked middle seats, and extra space. The exclusive service is designed to offer a more comfortable and efficient experience for Silversea guests heading to the Galápagos.
Silver Origin is Silversea’s purpose-built expedition vessel for the Galápagos, offering year-round itineraries ranging from seven to fourteen nights. The 100-guest ship features 50 spacious all-suite accommodations, all with butler service, and is designed to offer immersive exploration while maintaining luxury standards.
“We always put the guest at the center of everything we do, creating opportunities for deeper connections to the destination,” said Bert Hernandez, president of Silversea Cruises. “This is one more way we’re leveraging our deep expedition and destination expertise to further elevate the Silversea experience.”
The Galápagos Islands remain one of the world’s most sought-after expedition destinations, and Silversea continues to lead in offering luxury exploration with curated shore excursions, expert-led enrichment, and eco-conscious design. The addition of direct charter flights from Quito underscores Silversea’s commitment to seamless travel and exceptional service for its discerning guests.
