Singapore Airlines adds A380 flights to Australia in May

Singapore Airlines is adding flagship A380 superjumbos flights to Sydney and Melbourne next month.

From May 16 through to October 28 2023, the superjumbo – which also sports 78 cocooning business class seats on the upper deck – will replace the Boeing 777 on daily flights SQ228 and SQ237.

Meanwhile, May 17 will see Sydney visited by a second daily A380 on flights SQ221/SQ232, in place of the current A350-900 fitted with medium-range regional business class seats.

The airline’s A380 business class seats are designed for maximum comfort, with a 28-inch wide seat that can be reclined into a fully-flat bed, and with their superlative “double bed” suites in first class.

And the news is sweet indeed for Melburnians, who’ve waited years for the Singapore Airlines A380 to return to the gates of Tullamarine.
