Singapore Airlines Enhances First Class Experience with Five New Champagnes
Singapore Airlines is taking luxury to new heights with its latest offering for first-class passengers. Introducing ‘A Celebration of Champagne,’ the airline is adding five prestigious Champagnes to its already renowned menu, providing a delightful and indulgent experience for travelers.
This exciting program will run for a 10-month period until April 2024, with each of the five premium vintages taking turns to grace the airline’s first-class cabins. Passengers will have the opportunity to savor these exquisite Champagnes, perfectly complementing Singapore Airlines’ famous caviar service. The delicate saltiness of the caviar will be enhanced by the dry Champagne, creating a truly memorable culinary experience.
Here are the five exceptional Champagnes that will be available onboard:
- 2018 Grand Cellier d’Or by Vilmart (June and July 2023) – A ‘Grower Champagne’ boasting flavors of black cherries, blood orange, and Chinese aniseed.
- 2016 Cuvee Volupte, Blanc de Blancs Vintage by Champagne Geoffroy (August and September 2023) – A fruity and floral Champagne with hints of citrus, apricot, and white flowers.
- 2018 Multi-Vintage (MV) by Champagne Henri Giraud (October and November 2023) – A complex and elegant Champagne featuring aromas of brioche, honey, and vanilla.
- Blanc des Millenaires by Charles Heidsieck (December 2023 and January 2024) – A rare and refined Champagne offering flavors of candied lemon, almond paste, and gingerbread.
- Extra Brut ‘VP’ Grand Cru by Champagne Egly-Ouriet (February and March 2024) – A crisp and mineral Champagne with notes of green apple, pear, and hazelnut.
Singapore Airlines takes pride in being the only airline worldwide to consistently offer three different Champagne options in first class. While the airline has made some changes to its champagne selection over the years, including dropping Dom Perignon as of November 2022, passengers can still expect an exceptional range of fine wines and Champagnes during their journey.
With over 2.1 million bottles of wine and Champagne served onboard each year, including iconic brands like Krug and Taittinger, Singapore Airlines continues to redefine luxury travel. To enjoy these limited-release Champagnes, passengers are advised to request their preferred vintage as soon as they step onboard, as the airline typically reserves 12 bottles (four of each label) for the first-class cabin on every flight.
Elevate your travel experience with Singapore Airlines’ first-class Champagnes and indulge in the epitome of luxury during your journey.
