Singapore Airlines Introduces Complimentary Wi-Fi for All Passengers

Share

Singapore Airlines is set to provide complimentary inflight Wi-Fi to passengers on its network starting from July 1. This move aligns with the growing trend among global airlines to expand free Wi-Fi offerings. By offering free Wi-Fi, Singapore Airlines joins a select group of carriers that provide this service across all cabin classes. JetBlue has long provided free Wi-Fi to all passengers in the United States, and Delta recently followed suit by making Wi-Fi free on domestic flights.

The demand for free Wi-Fi continues to rise, prompting airlines to consider expanding their offerings. Hawaiian Airlines announced plans to introduce free Starlink Wi-Fi on transpacific routes in April 2022, while Delta aims to extend free Wi-Fi to its international flights by the end of 2024.

To access Singapore Airlines’ complimentary Wi-Fi, passengers will need to enter their KrisFlyer account details when booking or during check-in. For those without a KrisFlyer account, free membership can be obtained online or through Singapore’s digital content portal onboard the flights.

Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President of Customer Experience at Singapore Airlines, emphasized the importance of high-speed inflight Wi-Fi in enhancing the travel experience. The introduction of free unlimited Wi-Fi marks another milestone in Singapore Airlines’ ongoing commitment to providing an exceptional end-to-end travel experience.

Stay connected on your Singapore Airlines flights with the convenience of complimentary Wi-Fi, making your journey even more enjoyable and productive.
