A passenger onboard a Singapore Airlines flight from Sydney International Airport (SYD) to Singapore’s Changi Airport (SIN) fainted mid-flight, accidentally knocking over two flight attendants in the process.

Singapore Airlines confirmed with local media that the incident occurred on April 12, 2023, and that it involved a female passenger who became unwell during the flight, then fainted and received medical attention onboard.

Although the airline did not elaborate on the details, it confirmed that two flight attendants also fell over during the incident. The flight attendants did not need medical attention and were able to continue with their duties onboard, Singapore Airlines said.

One of the passengers onboard the flight, a pet groomer vlogger, witnessed the incident and caught a snippet of it on video.

The TikTok video shows the passenger, mistakenly labeled in the video as a flight attendant, lying down.

The passenger told local media that the incident occurred during the flight’s meal service. The passenger hit a food trolley when she passed out, and the food trolley, in turn, knocked over two flight attendants who were serving meals.

“The affected cabin crew did not sustain any injuries from the incident, and were able to continue with their duties for the remainder of the flight,” Singapore Airlines said as reported by Asia One.
