SkyWest Airlines Secures Order for 19 Embraer E175s to Expand United Express Operations
SkyWest Airlines (OO), a leading regional carrier based in Salt Lake City, has finalized an agreement with United Airlines (UA) to order nineteen new Embraer E175 aircraft. These jets will be operated under the United Express brand, further strengthening the partnership between the two airlines.
The delivery schedule for the nineteen E175s is planned as follows: four in 2024, seven in 2025, and eight in 2026. SkyWest is actively coordinating with its major airline partners, including United Airlines, to optimize the timing of upcoming fleet deliveries as part of this agreement and previously announced deals.
The additional E175s for United Express will contribute to the modernization and expansion of SkyWest’s fleet. The airline currently operates a fleet of 235 E175s, with ownership of 205 of these aircraft. These jets are deployed under capacity purchase agreements with major carriers such as Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines.
