SkyWest Orders 60 Embraer E175 Jets to Expand Delta Partnership

SkyWest Airlines has placed a firm order for 60 Embraer E175 aircraft, including 16 jets to be operated under a new multi-year contract with Delta Air Lines. Deliveries of these aircraft are scheduled to begin in 2027 and will replace 11 CRJ900s and 5 CRJ700s currently flying for Delta.
In addition to the firm order, SkyWest secured 44 additional E175 delivery positions from 2028 to 2032, contingent on future flying agreements with major airline partners. The airline also holds purchase rights for 50 more E175s, offering long-term fleet flexibility.
“This aircraft order enables us to advance our long-term fleet strategy, enhance our dual-class footprint, and continue to lead the industry in delivering an exceptional product for Delta and each of our flying partners,” said Chip Childs, President and CEO of SkyWest.
SkyWest, Inc. is the parent company of SkyWest Airlines, SWC, and SkyWest Leasing. With a fleet of nearly 500 aircraft, SkyWest connects passengers to over 265 destinations across North America through partnerships with Delta, United Airlines, American Airlines, and Alaska Airlines. In 2024, the airline carried more than 42 million passengers.
