Hotels are creating new opportunities for chefs, including 30-year industry veteran Bader Ali, who recently took over as executive chef at The Darcy’s Gerrard Street Kitchen in Washington, D.C. Drew Allen returned to the district’s Blue Duck Tavern at the Park Hyatt as chef de cuisine, and Daniel Boulud has signed on as culinary partner at Mandarin Oriental Residences in New York City and Beverly Hills, Calif.
