Snowfall Rebrands to Junction Amidst Company Reset and Relaunch

Travel technology company Snowfall is undergoing a comprehensive transformation, rebranding itself as Junction as part of a strategic “full reset of the business.” This move comes after some of the company’s operations were reportedly liquidated.
Korelya Capital, a long-term investor, is financing this pivotal relaunch, with additional financial backing from both existing and new investors. This restructuring includes significant changes in leadership. Hervé Gilg, formerly of Alvarez & Marsal, joins as deputy CEO, and Matthew Turner from investment firm Triton has been appointed chairman of the board.
Reports from BTN Europe indicate that as part of this reset, Snowfall’s operations in Canada have been liquidated, affecting employee payments since July of the previous year. The UK operations have also seen layoffs, with the remaining staff transitioning to a newly formed entity. Further, some former employees have reported on public forums and to BTN Europe about unpaid wages and pensions.
In response to these challenges, Junction has made efforts to address these issues, with CEO Stefan Cars claiming in a recent interview with BTN Europe that the company was “back on track.” However, this assertion has been contested by employees citing unpaid salaries and financial mismanagement.
Junction’s new website states that the revamped brand will focus on seamless, multimodal travel through an innovative tech platform. It also announced new partnerships with Chinese tech giant Oppo and Ragusa Xpress, a ferry operator, though details on the future of its booking tool, Junction One, remain unspecified.
Cars emphasized that Junction is poised to lead in multimodal travel technology, learning from past failures and building on two decades of technological advancements.
