Source: Choice Hotels chief seeking Tribune Publishing

Choice Hotels International Chairman Stewart Bainum and billionaire Hansjorg Wyss reportedly have made a fully financed $680 million bid for Chicago-based Tribune Publishing, according to a source. The source places the offer for the newspaper chain at $18.50 per share, which is more than the $17.25 per share bid by hedge fund Alden Global Capital.
