Southwest Airlines Offers 40 Percent Off Fall Flights

Southwest Airlines is celebrating its birthday early by offering 40 percent off of base fares on select flights booked now through Thursday, June 15 at midnight PT.

The discounted travel is valid for flights taking off between August 15 and December 14, 2023, when using promo code 40OFF at checkout. Keep in mind that travel is blacked out during the Thanksgiving holiday from November 16-27, 2023.

During the three-day sale, customers can book nonstop flights from Nashville to Baltimore for as little as $78 one-way or nonstop from Fort Lauderdale to Montego Bay, Jamaica for just $127 one-way, for example.

As is almost always the case, travelers will find the cheapest flights flying between Southwest’s operating bases in cities such as Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago (Midway), Dallas (Love Field), Denver, Fort Lauderdale, Houston (Hobby), Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Oakland, Orlando, Phoenix (Sky Harbor), San Diego and Tampa.

Southwest is closing in on its 52nd birthday, having commenced operations on June 18, 1971.
