Southwest Airlines is adding three more destinations to its international route map.

The new routes will go to Belize from Baltimore/Washington; to San Juan, Puerto Rico from Austin, Texas; and to Los Cabos, Mexico from St. Louis.

With the introduction of the new routes, Southwest has extended its booking deadlines to April 8 of next year.

Each new route will be nonstop and begin on Saturday, March 9. These are Saturday-only flights. By adding the new route and extending its booking deadlines, Southwest is thinking ahead to spring break and vacation in 2024.

Southwest stresses that you can visit one of the destinations, Puerto Rico, without a passport. Although Puerto Rico may feel like an international destination, it is nonetheless a United States territory and you don’t need a passport.

If you are one of those people who like to book early to get the best prices, booking to the new destinations is now open.
