Southwest Airlines reflected on its role in serving civil rights icon Rosa Parks and her family by assisting with a multi-day, multi-city procession following her passing in 2005. “As we look to the Company’s next 50 years and beyond, we’re committed to supporting our diverse communities and continuing to support the notion that gave Mrs. Parks the courage to remain seated – racial equality for all,” wrote Southwest employees Laura Nieto and Juan Suarez.
