Southwest makes leadership changes

Southwest Airlines has promoted Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer Linda Rutherford to the role of executive vice president people & communications. She will assume Bob Jordan’s duties when the current executive vice president of corporate services takes over as chairman and CEO in February 2022. Rutherford will continue to oversee communications and will also take on Southwest’s diversity and personnel programs.
