SPARFELL Luftfahrt, based in Vienna, has retired its sole Global 5000 jet, according to recent data. The aircraft, OE-IXG, completed its last flight on April 14, operating under the LDX code. The 20.1-year-old ultra-long-range jet, configured to accommodate 13 passengers, has been de-registered from Austria, with its next operational steps currently unclear.

The retirement marks a shift in SPARFELL’s fleet composition. Despite the absence of the Global 5000, the operator continues to manage a robust lineup of Bombardier Global series aircraft. Its Austrian Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) includes two Global 7500s and a Global Express XRS, while SPARFELL Malta oversees a Global 6000, a Global 6500, and another Global 7500.

In addition to the Global series, SPARFELL’s portfolio spans various Bombardier Business Aircraft and jets from leading manufacturers such as Airbus Corporate Jets, Dassault Aviation, Embraer Executive Jets, and Gulfstream Aerospace. This diverse fleet underscores the company’s focus on offering tailored luxury and business aviation solutions.

With the retirement of OE-IXG, SPARFELL is optimizing its operations while maintaining its position as a leading provider of ultra-long-range and versatile aircraft for global clients.
