Spark by Hilton Debuts in Caribbean and Latin America in Puerto Rico

Spark by Hilton has made its Caribbean and Latin America debut with the opening of a 120-room hotel in Ponce, marking a milestone expansion for the fast-growing Hilton brand in Puerto Rico. Located in the island’s second-largest city, the new property strengthens Hilton’s footprint while introducing a budget-friendly option designed to deliver consistent quality and value.
The hotel blends affordability with comfort, offering amenities such as a tranquil courtyard, Spanish-inspired architecture, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, and more than 1,600 square feet of flexible meeting and event space. These features position the property as an attractive choice for both leisure and business travelers seeking value-driven accommodations.
“The Spark by Hilton brand has seen incredible momentum since its launch two years ago, and now we’re excited to introduce our signature hospitality to the Caribbean and Latin American market,” said Alissa Klees, global brand leader for Spark by Hilton. She noted that with more than 200 hotels already open worldwide, the brand continues to expand into new regions while maintaining a focus on high-quality experiences at accessible price points.
Spark by Hilton Ponce is conveniently located near cultural attractions, historic downtown Ponce, major shopping centers, and is just three miles from Mercedita International Airport, enhancing its appeal to domestic and international visitors.
Hilton plans further growth across the Caribbean, where it currently operates around 50 hotels and has approximately 40 additional properties in development. Across the wider Caribbean and Latin America region, Hilton’s portfolio includes nearly 300 hotels and resorts, with more than 160 properties in various stages of design and construction.
“The hotel adds diversity to the southern region and confirms our commitment of over 50 years contributing to the tourism development in the city of Ponce and Puerto Rico,” said Miguel Vega, president of HI Development P.R. Corp.
