Royal Caribbean’s new ship Star of the Seas will debut in August from Port Canaveral, Florida, offering seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises that call at Perfect Day at CocoCay and, beginning in December, Royal Beach Club Paradise Island. The 5,610-guest vessel promises an array of signature entertainment and more than forty dining and bar experiences designed to appeal to every kind of traveler.

“At Royal Caribbean, we know that dining and entertainment are at the heart of our guests’ vacation experiences and memories,” says Kara Wallace, chief marketing officer. Star of the Seas will present five original production shows across multiple stages, air, water and ice. Highlights include Back to the Future: The Musical, Create—a journey of self-discovery led by a curious robot—and Pirates & Mermaids, a blend of dance, artistic swimming and high dives. The AquaTheater will showcase Torque, featuring dancers, slackliners and synchronized swimmers, while Absolute Zero ice shows SOL with the line’s largest-ever skating cast.

Food lovers will find three new concepts at the AquaDome Market food hall, specializing in barbecue, Southeast Asian fare and South American cuisine. Additional options range from casual Surfside Eatery and Windjammer buffet to Basecamp in Thrill Island and upscale venues such as Chops Grille, Hibachi & Sushi and Celebration Table. A new Lincoln Park Supper Club in the Central Park neighborhood offers a multi-course, 1930s Chicago–inspired menu in a refined supper-club setting.

When the sun sets, guests can enjoy adults-only comedy in The Attic, sing karaoke, try their luck at Casino Royale or explore over twenty bars and nightlife venues. “With the Icon Class lineup redefining what it means to vacation, Star pushes the boundaries of flavors and entertainment,” adds Wallace. “Every kind of vacationer can make memories of a lifetime together and in their own ways.”
