Star Wings Dortmund Expands Fleet with First Citation M2 Jet

Star Wings Dortmund Luftfahrtgesellschaft, based in Dortmund, Germany, has expanded its fleet with the addition of its first Cessna Citation M2 aircraft, registered as D-IAFG (msn 525-1080). This 3.8-year-old jet, previously operated privately within Germany, conducted a test flight on February 13, 2025, covering areas around Erfurt and Nuremberg.
The Citation M2 is a light business jet introduced by Cessna in 2011, designed to bridge the gap between the Citation Mustang and the Citation CJ family. It features a maximum cruise speed of 400 knots and a range of 1,300 nautical miles, accommodating up to six passengers. The aircraft is powered by two FADEC-controlled Williams International FJ44-1AP-21 turbofan engines, each producing 1,965 pounds of thrust.
With the inclusion of the Citation M2, Star Wings Dortmund’s fleet now comprises a diverse range of aircraft, including a Citation Jet 2, Citation Jet 2+, Citation Jet 4, and a Premier IA. In addition to offering private jet charter services, the company provides aircraft management solutions and operates an aviation training center at Dortmund Airport.
The expansion of Star Wings Dortmund’s fleet with the Citation M2 underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing its service offerings and meeting the evolving needs of its clientele in the business aviation sector.
