Starlux Airlines Expands into the U.S. Market with San Francisco-Taipei Route

STARLUX Airlines, a Taiwan-based luxury carrier, is excited to announce the launch of its second North American destination. Flights between San Francisco and Taipei will commence on December 16 2023, further enhancing the airline’s North American presence. Initially, the SFO-TPE service will begin with three weekly flights, with plans to expand to daily service in March.

Reservations for this new route are now open for booking. Below is the schedule, all times local:

Glenn Chai, CEO of STARLUX Airlines, expressed enthusiasm for these developments, stating, “With our daily Los Angeles-Taipei service and the new San Francisco destination, STARLUX is thrilled to offer our U.S.-based passengers increased convenience when traveling from North America to Asia. San Francisco, with its proximity to Silicon Valley and its status as a significant political, economic, and tourism hub, has established itself as a top travel destination. Moreover, with one-third of its population of Asian descent, our new route will cater to these travelers’ needs, whether they are visiting family, vacationing, or traveling for work. STARLUX strives to continue expanding and is also planning a new Seattle route next year.”

To celebrate this grand opening, STARLUX Airlines has partnered with Sony, a leading name in the audiovisual industry. From December 16th to December 31st, all First-Class passengers traveling from Taipei to San Francisco will receive a complimentary pair of Sony WH-1000XM5 wireless noise-canceling headphones.

Luxury Service and “Home in the Air” Experience
With a commitment to luxury and excellence, STARLUX aims to set the highest standards in operations, service, safety, and management. The airline’s long-haul routes have received acclaim for their brand-new cabins and exquisite dining, making them a preferred choice for travelers crossing the Pacific Ocean. The SFO-TPE route will be operated using the next-generation Airbus A350, featuring a premium four-class layout with four seats in First Class, 26 in Business, 36 in Premium Economy, and 240 in Economy.

STARLUX’s primary focus is providing a “Home in the Air” experience, ensuring comfortable seating in all four cabin classes. First and Business Class offer individual sliding doors and seats with a Zero G mode to alleviate travel fatigue. Premium Economy provides spacious seats with footrests, allowing passengers to stretch comfortably during the journey. Economy class features 4K high-definition screens and the option to connect personal Bluetooth headphones, making long-haul flights a breeze.
