STR: Hotel occupancy inches closer than ever to 2019’s

US hotel occupancy reached its highest pandemic era point in late August at 65%, down 10% from 2019, STR reports. Of the top 25 markets, Tampa, Fla., came closest to the pre-pandemic mark, down 3% at 66.8%.
