STR: US lodging continues climb, tops some 2019 stats

February’s US hotel performance edged past January’s and managed to surpass that of February 2019 by some metrics, STR reports. Occupancy at 56.9% was 8.2% lower than in 2019, but average daily rate at $137.39 was 6.8% higher before inflation adjustment, nominally the highest for any month since the close of summer travel last August.
