Strong interest shown for N.Y.’s downstate casino licenses

Eight casino operators including Wynn Resorts, Hard Rock International and Las Vegas Sands were among the 30 companies that responded to New York’s request for information solicitation for three casino licenses that would be located downstate. Officials will utilize the submissions to help assess the evaluation process for applications, determine the right size for the casinos and decide on the license cost.
