Study shows 12-year high for China hotel rooms pipeline

China’s hotel construction pipeline reached its highest level in 12 years in the first quarter in terms of rooms, though total projects were down year-to-year, according to Lodging Econometrics. China opened 113 hotels during the quarter, and Lodging Econometrics projects 901 to debut this year and 966 in 2022.
