Super 8 Celebrates 50th Anniversary with $8.88 Room Rates

In celebration of its 50th anniversary, Super 8 by Wyndham is offering a nostalgic throwback rate of $8.88 per night plus tax. This special rate harkens back to the brand’s inaugural pricing in 1974 and will be available for a limited time.

Mike Mueller, President of Super 8 by Wyndham, highlights the significance of this promotion: “Remember when eight bucks could get you something special? Super 8 sure does! This milestone isn’t about looking back but celebrating how far we’ve come—from a single hotel in Aberdeen, South Dakota, to over 2,600 locations worldwide. Starting August 8, 2024, at 8 a.m. ET, Super 8 will offer 888 room nights at the retro rate exclusively through their website, super8.com/throwback. The promotion will be fulfilled through the redemption of 15,000 Wyndham Rewards points, which are valid for at least one free night at Super 8 hotels and remain redeemable for a minimum of 18 months.

There is a limit of one purchase per person, and availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. To take advantage of this offer, travelers must be Wyndham Rewards members and provide their membership number at the time of purchase. New members are encouraged to join in advance to ensure they can participate in this unique celebration.

Points will be credited to the Wyndham Rewards account within three business days of the purchase. The offer is open to U.S. and Canadian residents who are at least 18 years old.
