Fly All Ways Airlines (8W, Paramaribo Int’l) has wet-leased a DHC-6-400 from Zimex Aviation (XM, Zurich) for a passenger charter contract recently landed from French petroleum giant Total for flights between Suriname and French Guiana. HB-LUX (msn 845) was ferried from Altenrhein to Paramaribo Zorg en Hoop via Lisbon, Las Palmas, Praia, and Cayenne over the course of April 1-8, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. “We are excited to start operating the first -400 Series Twin Otter in Suriname by providing all the logistics required for this operation,” the carrier said in a statement. “Operating to Oil and Gas standard is a new challenge for Surinamese aircraft operations and we are very proud to team up with Zimex, a global OGP aircraft operator, by providing all the local support.” In January this year, Total and Apache Corporation made a significant new oil and gas discovery at the Keskesi East-1 well, in Block 58 off the Suriname coast and along the boundary with Guyana.
