Suspect COVID-19 hotel contractor grabs county bonus

A contractor accused of mismanaging a coronavirus quarantine hotel program has been awarded an $83 million pay raise by San Diego County, Calif., officials. The hike comes as San Diego State University researchers are probing Equus Workforce Solutions’ operation and raises the cost of the program to $140.6 million from a reported original $30 million.
