Tahiti’s FLY CORALway secures its ATL
FLY CORALway (Papeete) has secured its Air Transport Licence (ATL) from the French Polynesian government. A statement issued by the Council of Ministers on November 10 said the start-up was authorised to operate scheduled passenger flights from Papeete to the South Pacific island states and territories of Samoa, Fiji, Wallis & Futuna, and New Caledonia. In turn, FLY CORALway thanked the government and president of French Polynesia for consenting to the airline’s operations. It must now pursue and secure its Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) from the French Polynesian civil aviation regulator (Service d’État de l’aviation civile – SEAC). Formerly Air Corail (Futuna), FLY CORALway is backed by entrepreneur Louis Alphonse. It has set its sights on using a pair of A220s for its initial operational requirements.
