Tailwind Airlines has entered into a wet-lease agreement for two A321-200s, TC-GPC (msn 3302) and TC-GPD (msn 3322), which will be operated by Tailwind Airlines until November 5, 2023. The aircraft are currently based in Antalya and are serving destinations in Germany, complementing Tailwind’s existing fleet of five B737-400s.

Meanwhile, Freebird Airlines has also tapped into BBN Airlines’ services, leasing the other two A321-200s. Since April 16, 2023, the aircraft have been flying for Freebird Airlines, although not on a daily basis. TC-GPB (msn 3527) has been repainted with Freebird’s livery, indicating a long-term commitment to the wet-lease arrangement. However, Freebird Airlines has yet to respond to inquiries regarding the details of the lease agreement.

BBN Airlines has been making significant strides since its commercial launch on April 1, 2023, operating a robust fleet of four A321-200s. In addition to its own services, the startup carrier has been providing ad-hoc wet leases to other leading Turkish leisure specialists, including Southwind Airlines and Mavi Gök Airlines.

Through these strategic wet-leases, BBN Airlines is carving a niche in the ACMI/charter segment, strengthening its position in the dynamic Turkish aviation landscape. As its fleet and clientele grow, the airline is poised for further success in the market.
