Tauck Revives Cuba Tours and Unveils New Namibia and Italy Itineraries for 2024 and 2025

Tauck, a leader in premium guided tours, has recently announced the highly anticipated comeback of its “Cuba: A Cultural Odyssey” journey, marking its return to Cuba after a four-year hiatus. This seven-day expedition, starting at $6,490 USD per person (double occupancy plus airfare), offers a rich blend of historical, cultural, and culinary experiences in Cuba. The tour begins with an overnight stay at the Hyatt Regency Coral Gables in Florida, followed by a flight to Havana’s José Martí International Airport. Guests will then enjoy a five-night stay at the Grand Aston La Habana in Havana, using it as a base to explore the city and its surroundings.

The Cuban odyssey features several highlights, including a walking tour of Old Havana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a visit to a tobacco farm in Viñales Valley to learn about Cuba’s renowned cigars, and an exploration of the country’s vintage American car scene. Additionally, the itinerary includes a tour of Ernest Hemingway’s Cuban home, offering insight into his life between 1939 and 1960. The initial six “Cuba: A Cultural Odyssey” departures for fall 2024 are already fully booked, with additional tours planned from January to April and October to December 2025. The package includes accommodations, flights from Miami to Havana, airport transfers, sightseeing, excursions, most meals and gratuities, luggage handling, and more.

Expanding its global offerings, Tauck introduces new itineraries in Namibia and Italy for 2024. The “Namibia: Epic Safari” is an 11-day adventure priced from $11,990 USD per person (double occupancy, plus international airfare). The journey begins with an overnight stay at The Weinberg Windhoek and includes stays in the NamibRand Nature Reserve, Swakopmund, the Ongava Game Reserve, and the Omaanda Lodge. Travelers will experience the Namib Desert with a local Bushman guide, stargaze in the NamibRand Nature Reserve, interact with baby baboons at a wildlife sanctuary, and explore the red-tinted dunes of Sossusvlei. This itinerary includes five internal flights, 28 meals, all game drives, sightseeing activities, luggage handling, and most gratuities, with 10 departures scheduled between April and October 2024.

In Italy, Tauck is launching the “Tuscany, Cinque Terre & the Portofino Coast” tour, an eight-day journey starting at $6,590 USD per person (double occupancy, plus airfare). This trip begins with a two-night stay in Florence’s Helvetia & Bristol, followed by stays in Siena, Lucca, and Santa Margherita Ligure. The itinerary features exclusive experiences like an early opening visit to Florence’s Basilica di Santa Croce, an after-hours tour of the Uffizi Galleries, a pasta-making class in Lucca, and a private visit to the 14th-century La Cervara abbey. Included are 15 meals, sightseeing, airport transfers, most gratuities, and luggage handling. This addition brings Tauck’s Italy portfolio to 20 trips, with all 22 departures being part of their Small Groups collection, ensuring a personalized travel experience for just 24 guests.
