Texas storms affect US airlines, thousands of flights
US airlines are working to fully resume operations across Texas following severe winter weather that brought dangerously low temperatures and power outages throughout the state. Nearly 3,000 flights were canceled with over a thousand more affected across the state due to conditions from snow and ice. On Thursday, Texas-based American and Southwest Airlines reported fewer flight cancellations than earlier in the week. As temperatures rose, airports have been able to treat and clear runways.
