The Best Airline & Airport On-Time Performance: Asia Pacific

The top-ranking airlines in Asia Pacific in March showed significant improvements in their OTP performance over last month. Singapore Airlines (SQ) maintained its dominance in the region with an OTP of 88.31%, a 4-point increase over February’s OTP of 84.12%.

  • AirAsia (AK) secured the second-place position this month with an OTP of 85.33%; a near 5-point increase over last month.
  • Philippine Airlines (PR) finished the month in third place and with an OTP of 85.28%. The 7-point improvement from February’s performance, also positioned Philippine Airlines as the most improved airline in the region.
  • Garuda Indonesia (GA) took fourth place this month in the region with an OTP of 83.48% and was followed closely by Cathay Pacific (CX) with an OTP of 83.13%.

Airport On-Time Performance

Similarly, major airports in the region including Changi International Airport (SIN), Haneda Airport (HND), Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), Incheon International Airport (ICN), and Osaka International Airport (ITM) showed remarkable improvements in OTP compared to the previous month’s performance.

  • Changi International Airport (SIN) concluded the month with an OTP of 81.59%, which was a 6-point improvement over last month’s OTP of 75.57%.
  • Haneda Airport (HND) recorded an OTP of 80.20% and Osaka International Airport (ITM) had an OTP of 88.63%.
  • Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) had a 9-point increase in OTP and ended the month with an OTP of 78.71%.
  • Incheon International Airport (ICN) recorded an OTP of 80.12%, which was a near 7-point increase over last month’s OTP of 73.58%.
