The hotel conversion opportunity window is closing

With hotel rooms sitting empty throughout the pandemic, major cities were pushing for hotel conversion to provide affordable housing, but Janaki Chadha reports that the movement isn’t succeeding in New York City. Tourism has started to boom again, so the opportunity for the city has mostly passed, according to Breaking Ground President Brenda Rosen.
