The Riviera Nayarit’s Luxury Portfolio Expands

The Riviera Nayarit continues to expand its luxury hotel offerings with Conrad Punta de Mita’s inclusion in the Virtuoso program.

Conrad Punta de Mita joined the network as a Virtuoso Preferred hotel after an intense selection process that lasted about eight months. The Conrad Hilton brand’s first resort in Mexico opened its doors in early September 2020 in Litibú, a beautiful, lush area between the Pacific Ocean and the Sierra de Vallejo mountain range.

With the inclusion of this new property—in addition to One & Only Mandarina last year—Mexico’s Pacific Treasure now boasts six properties that have garnered this coveted designation. The Riviera Nayarit’s inclusion in this exclusive program has made it one of the world’s most sophisticated destinations.

—Conrad Punta de Mita

—Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit

—Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita

—Imanta Resorts

—One & Only Mandarina

—The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort

Marc Murphy, managing director of the Riviera Nayarit Visitors and Convention Bureau (CVB), said that the Riviera Nayarit CVB focused on the luxury segment to promote tourism, as it helps attract more tourists with a higher average outlay and a low-impact approach. This effort allows it to sustain its established environmental preservation policies.

“We’re very pleased and proud with the Conrad Punta de Mita’s inclusion. It’s common knowledge that Virtuoso’s selection process is unique; this is a program that welcomes few hotels into the program. The addition of the Riviera Nayarit to Virtuoso’s preferred list tells us the luxury product we’re focusing on is experiencing positive momentum within our regional offer, giving the segment a strong boost,” he said.
