The Leading Hotel Brands Around the World
When it comes to booking a hotel for a significant stay travelers typically turn to a name that they know and or trust. While there is no shortage of top brands to choose from in 2022, a handful stands out above the rest. The travel experts at Bounce have ranked the world’s most successful hotel chains based on average user ratings, popularity, availability, revenue and the number of five-star locations. Keep in mind that these rankings consider guest reviews from sites such as Bestcompany, Facebook and Trustpilot and looked at the number of annual worldwide Google searches from February 2021 to January 2022 for each hotel via Google Keyword Planner.

10. Days Inn
Earning a final hotel chain score of 4.92 out of 10, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ Days Inn brand rounds out the world’s top 10 most successful. Its 1,551 available hotels are by far the most of any chain in the top 10 but its 2.7 average user review score is also the lowest of this group.

9. Crowne Plaza
Crowne Plaza, one of the best hotel chains for Major League Baseball fans, trails Days Inn when it comes to the number of hotels available and revenue but earns a much higher average user review score (3.4 out of 5) and garners more Google search interest.

8. Ritz-Carlton
A brand synonymous with luxury, Ritz-Carlton is among the best-reviewed hotel chains (4.2 out of 5) and is present in as many as 30 different countries. What’s more, nearly half of the brand’s portfolio includes five-star locations, helping it to a hotel chain score of 5.58 out of 10.

7. St Regis Hotels & Resorts
Luxury hotel chain St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is by far the best-reviewed hotel chain of the many brands that Bounce analyzed, scoring a flawless 5 out of 5 for average user review score. St. Regis’ 35 five-star properties are also third-most among chains in the top 10.

6. JW Marriott
Another classic Marriott brand, JW Marriott also excels in terms of guest reviews, earning a 4.9 out of 5. However, JW Marriott boasts more than twice as many properties as its fellow subsidiary and nearly three times as many annual Google searches.

5. DoubleTree
Hilton’s wildly popular DoubleTree brand ranks as the fifth-best hotel chain worldwide, racking up an impressive $2.1 billion in annual revenue and more than 11 million annual Google searches. However, like Days Inn, DoubleTree offers zero five-star properties.
