Three Luxury Resorts to Debut on Saudi Arabia’s Shura Island

Saudi Arabia’s Shura Island, a centerpiece of the country’s Red Sea tourism initiative, is set to welcome three new luxury resorts this month. Red Sea Global, the developer behind the project, announced that SLS Red Sea, EDITION Red Sea, and InterContinental Red Sea Resort will be the first properties to open on the island.
Shura Island is located in the Tabuk Province on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast and will ultimately host 11 world-class resorts. Upcoming openings will feature brands such as Faena, Fairmont, Four Seasons, Grand Hyatt, Jumeirah, Miraval, Raffles, and Rosewood, cementing the destination as a premier international travel hub.
The island will also unveil Shura Links, an 18-hole championship golf course offering a world-class experience to players.
SLS Red Sea will feature 150 guestrooms and villas, including overwater and beachfront options, alongside curated cultural, wellness, and leisure experiences. EDITION Red Sea will offer 240 guestrooms, including 53 suites, multiple dining venues, and access to watersports and golf. InterContinental Red Sea Resort will add 178 guestrooms and 32 suites, five dining options, a spa, and meeting spaces.
Guests will be able to access Shura Island either by boat or via the Shura Bridge, a two-and-a-half-mile structure that is now the longest bridge in Saudi Arabia.
John Pagano, CEO of Red Sea Global, said the debut of these properties reflects the company’s “bold ambition, deep respect for nature, and commitment to redefining tourism in Saudi Arabia and beyond.”
