Thrive Aviation Resumes G450 Operations

Thrive Aviation (TIV), based at Las Vegas Henderson, has resumed its Gulfstream G450 charter operations after a one-year hiatus, marking a significant milestone for the operator as it strengthens its Part 135 fleet. The resumption of the G450, which was previously active between 2017 and 2023, underscores Thrive Aviation’s commitment to providing premium charter services and expanding its fleet capabilities in a competitive market.

The aircraft in question, registered as N241CH (msn 4217), is a 15.2-year-old Gulfstream Aerospace jet configured to seat up to 14 passengers. This versatile business jet is well-known for its ultra-long-range capabilities and comfortable cabin, making it a popular choice among corporate and high-net-worth travelers. Before its reactivation, the aircraft was privately operated in the United States under the registration N241CE. Its last flight under that registration took place on December 31, 2024, when it flew a scheduled route from Lincoln, Nebraska to Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport.

On February 4, 2025, the aircraft was officially re-registered as N241CH, signifying its readiness to rejoin the active fleet. Although it has yet to operate under its new registration, its return is eagerly anticipated by both the company and its clients. Originally delivered to Germany’s Windrose Air Jetcharter and later exported to the United States in 2015, the G450 boasts a rich operational history and a proven track record of performance.

This strategic move to resume G450 operations comes as part of Thrive Aviation’s broader efforts to enhance its charter offerings and maintain a diverse, modern fleet. Currently, the G450 joins a robust lineup of 22 other aircraft that form Thrive Aviation’s Part 135-certified fleet. The expanded fleet now includes two Learjet 60XRs (with one newly added alongside the G450), a Challenger 604, a Challenger 605, and a Citation M2. Additionally, the operator maintains four Citation Jet 3+ aircraft, five Citation Sovereign+ jets, five Citation Longitudes, a Falcon 2000EX EASy, a Praetor 600, and a GVII-G600.

By bolstering its fleet with the G450, Thrive Aviation is positioning itself to meet the growing demand for private jet charter services in the region. The airline’s strategic focus on modernizing its fleet and expanding its operational reach is designed to offer clients increased flexibility, enhanced connectivity, and a superior travel experience. The resumption of the G450 is particularly significant, as it fills a critical gap in the operator’s long-range charter capabilities and provides additional capacity during peak travel periods.

CEO and senior management at Thrive Aviation have expressed enthusiasm about the renewed operations. “Resuming G450 charter services is a major step in our ongoing commitment to deliver top-tier private aviation solutions,” a company spokesperson commented. “We are confident that the G450 will enhance our service offerings and further solidify our reputation in the ultra-premium charter market.”

As the aviation industry continues to evolve, Thrive Aviation’s proactive approach to fleet expansion and modernization will be key to its future success. With a comprehensive and diversified fleet now in place, the company is well-prepared to navigate market challenges, optimize operational efficiency, and deliver exceptional value to its clientele across domestic and international routes.
