Tide ebbs again for Detroit’s Westin Book Cadillac

The Westin Book Cadillac hotel, a 33-story symbol of the ups and downs of downtown Detroit since its reopening in 2008, is in the process of being sold after falling victim to the pandemic tourism slump. Oxford Capital would assume $77 million in debt to prevent foreclosure under a pending agreement and plans to spend at least $16.5 million on renovations and maintenance.
