Tiriac Air (TIH, Bucharest Henri Coanda), a prominent Romanian business aviation specialist, has officially retired its only Bombardier Global 6000 aircraft. The retirement occurred at the end of June 2024, with the aircraft subsequently transferring to Austrian-based Avcon Jet (AOJ, Vienna), according to findings by ch-aviation.

The aircraft, registered YR-TIF (msn 9723), completed its last flight for Tiriac Air on June 30, traveling from Bucharest Henri Coanda to Madrid Barajas, and then onward to Vienna. It was re-registered as OE-IIT on July 1 and made its inaugural flight under the new registration from Vienna to Bucharest and then to Amsterdam Schiphol on July 6.

With the departure of the Global 6000, Tiriac Air’s fleet now comprises a G200, a Global 5000, and a Phenom 300E. This adjustment reflects a reconfiguration of the company’s asset base and strategic direction in business aviation services.

Avcon Jet, the new operator of the aircraft, is significantly expanding its Bombardier presence. Already operating three other Global 6000s, the addition of YR-TIF complements Avcon Jet’s extensive fleet, which also includes three Global 5000s, a Global Express XRS, a Challenger 300, two Challenger 350s, a Challenger 3500, and a Challenger 604. This broad array of long-range and large-cabin aircraft underscores Avcon Jet’s commitment to providing comprehensive business aviation solutions across various market segments.

This transaction not only marks a significant shift in Tiriac Air’s operational assets but also reinforces Avcon Jet’s growing fleet and service capabilities within the European business aviation landscape.
