Transavia France, a low-cost carrier subsidiary of Air France-KLM, has recently expanded its network with two new exciting destinations. The airline has introduced flights to Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, and announced plans to fly to Dubai for the first time. The new routes are part of the airline’s expansion strategy for the winter 2023-24 season.

The new route between Marseille Provence Airport (MRS) and Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport (EVN) commenced on June 27, 2023, with a once-a-week service on Sundays. The flight departs MRS at 10:00 a.m. and arrives at EVN at 4:00 p.m. local time. The return flight leaves EVN at 5:00 p.m. and lands at MRS at 7:30 p.m. local time. The route is served by a Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 189 seats. This new addition complements Transavia France’s existing route from Paris Orly Airport (ORY) to EVN, which operates four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Moreover, Transavia France has plans to launch two new routes to Dubai International Airport (DXB) from Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport (LYS) and Marseille Provence Airport (MRS). The LYS-DXB route is scheduled to begin on October 29, 2023, offering flights three times a week on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The MRS-DXB route will follow on October 31, 2023, with flights three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Notably, the MRS-DXB route will be the first direct connection between the two airports. However, the LYS-DXB route will face competition from Emirates, which operates daily flights between Lyon and Dubai.

In addition to these new routes, Transavia France has confirmed three other routes for the winter 2023-24 season. The airline will fly twice a week to Marrakech, Morocco, from Rennes (RNS) starting on October 29, 2023, and from Brest (BES) starting on November 1, 2023. Additionally, the airline will offer twice-weekly flights to Tozeur, Tunisia, from Paris Orly Airport (ORY) beginning on October 30, 2023.

Transavia France aims to offer attractive fares and convenient schedules to cater to the needs of both leisure and business travelers on these new and existing routes. These expansions represent a significant step in the airline’s commitment to broadening its network and providing enhanced travel options for its passengers.
