TravCorp Acquires Specialist Holidays Group

TravCorp Holdings has acquired Specialist Holidays Group from Travelopia for an undisclosed sum, with backing from investment partner BGF. The acquisition brings together several leading U.K.-based travel brands under one umbrella and marks a major step in TravCorp’s expansion strategy in the specialist and luxury travel segments.

TravCorp is known for its focus on value-led, customized travel experiences and already owns brands such as Destination2, Destination2 Cruise, and Holiday Gems. The newly acquired Specialist Holidays Group adds a suite of respected names to the portfolio, including American Holidays, which focuses on U.S. travel; Italian specialist Citalia; and luxury travel brand Sovereign Luxury Travel.

Andrew Botterill, chair of TravCorp Holdings, described the acquisition as a significant milestone, stating that the addition of Specialist Holidays Group enhances the company’s destination expertise and strengthens its customer-first approach. He highlighted the trusted reputations and experience of the incoming brands and teams, calling it a strong fit for TravCorp’s growing portfolio.

Jason Edwards, director at TravCorp, echoed these sentiments on LinkedIn, saying the deal lays the foundation for a more dynamic and integrated specialist travel group, one capable of delivering consistently exceptional customer experiences across all channels.

Helen Adamson, managing director of Specialist Holidays Group, will remain in her current position under the new ownership, reporting directly to TravCorp’s group CEO, Andy Freeth. Adamson welcomed the move, emphasizing the strategic alignment between the two companies and the exciting growth opportunities ahead. She said the integration of brands, teams, and audiences will foster greater innovation and commercial success.

The acquisition reinforces TravCorp’s position in key markets such as the Middle East, Indian Ocean, and cruise travel, while expanding its footprint in North America and Europe. With this latest move, the company is set to offer even more diverse and tailored experiences to travelers worldwide.
