Regional aircraft lessor TrueNoord has taken delivery of its fourth Embraer E195-E2 aircraft in Brazil, the latest jet to be leased to Canadian operator, Porter Airlines.

Porter Airlines ordered six Embraer E195-E2 jets at Farnborough Air Show last year, and the fifth and sixth aircraft will be delivered later in 2023.

Anne-Bart Tieleman, TrueNoord’s CEO, commented on the arrival of the new aircraft: “These E2 jets complement our existing portfolio of 39 Embraer E1s, offering our customers a range of high-performing, fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly E-Jets to fulfil diverse requirements.”

The acquisition of these new aircraft is part of TrueNoord’s long-term strategy to invest in the 50-150-seat category of new-generation aircraft.

Arjan Meijer, President and CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation, said: “TrueNoord is an important lessor for Embraer on the E1 programme; it’s good to see that partnership continue to deepen with this move into Embraer’s E2 family. Another strong endorsement for the E2 programme from a world-class player.”
