Tulpar Imports Challenger 850 Despite Western Sanctions

Tulpar (RFE, Kazan International) has expanded its fleet with the addition of a Challenger 850 in 2024, marking the company’s fourth aircraft of this type despite ongoing Western sanctions.
According to ADS-B data, the 15.3-year-old jet, registered as RA-73558 (msn 8100), became operational on December 25, 2024, after a test flight at Kazan International using Tulpar’s ‘RFE’ code. Previously part of Indonesia’s Jetset fleet under the registration PK-NEX, the aircraft last flew on January 25, 2024, between Dubai World Central and Istanbul Atatürk under Jetset’s ‘CEO’ code.
The Challenger 850 was later re-registered in South Africa as ZS-TJA, completing flights to Dubai World Central and Kazan International in mid-2024 before joining Tulpar’s fleet.
With this addition, Tulpar now operates a charter fleet of seven aircraft, including two Challenger 350s, four Challenger 850s, and a Global 5000. Notably, a Challenger 850 imported in December 2022 was first registered in Kazakhstan before joining Tulpar’s fleet. The remaining jets have been sourced from other operators within Russia.
The acquisition demonstrates Tulpar’s ability to grow its fleet despite international sanctions, enhancing its capacity to serve the charter market.
